Lopes open 2019 against new WAC foe California Baptist
The Grand Canyon swimming team will travel west to Riverside, Calif., to open up 2019 competition as the Lopes face host California Baptist and Wyoming.
The one-day meet will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. (Phoenix time) at the Lancer Aquatic Center, which is located behind Van Dyne Gym on the south part of campus.
GCU swept California Baptist last season, as the men (162.5-136.5) and women (178-110) defeated the Lancers at the Fr. Edward A. Reese Aquatic Center in Phoenix. The men fell to Wyoming last season 176-123 while the women won 151-148 in Las Vegas.
