PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team looks to bounce back after losing its first game in the last four, as the Lopes head to Seattle U. GCU is going for the conference sweep of the Redhawks, as the Lopes downed Seattle, 74-63, in the WAC opener in January.
The Lopes and the Redhawks are tied at 7-4 in conference play for the third-place rank in the WAC. GCU's final three contests of the 2017-18 regular season will be road games, and the Lopes are 4-7 away from the GCU Arena this year.

Scouting Seattle U
Seattle U is 13-13 on the year and 7-4 in WAC play, as the pair are tied for the third-place rank in the conference. GCU claimed the first meeting in Phoenix, 74-63. The Redhawks began the 2017-18 season with back-to-back losses to Idaho State and Hawai'i, before establishing a three-game winning streak with victories over UC Santa Barbara, Pepperdine and Portland State.
Seattle U then lost two straight to UC Davis and California before going 3-1 with wins over San Diego, Montana and Idaho and a loss to Nevada. Since then, the Redhawks are 0-4 to Pacific, Washington, UC Irvine and Cal State Northridge.
Last season, the Redhawks were 15-18 overall and 10-4 in the WAC. GCU and SU split the two-game regular season series, as Seattle won the first matchup (86-60) and GCU won the second (82-77). Seattle lost to New Mexico State in the championship game of the WAC tournament (63-48) and fell to Wyoming in the first round of the WNIT, 68-52.
