The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving team travels to the Centennial State of Colorado to take on fellow WAC member Air Force and Northern Colorado on Friday and Saturday. Â
The men will compete against Air Force, while the women face off against both Air Force and Northern Colorado in a two-day meet at the Cadet Natatorium on the Air Force campus. Friday's events will begin at 4 p.m. (Phoenix time) and Saturday's events will begin at 10 a.m.
Last season, the GCU men's team dropped the two-day dual meet to Air Force 257-228. The women's team was victorious, defeating the Falcons 142-101.
Air Force men's team enter's Friday with a 2-2 record in dual meets, defeating Colorado School of Mines (225-76) and Colorado Mesa (209-91) while dropping meets to Wyoming (179-121) and Denver (183-114). The Air Force women's team is 3-2 to start the season in dual meets, defeating Omaha (149-73), Colorado School of Mines (228-59) and Colorado Mesa (161.50-137.50), and losing to Wyoming (166-132) and Vanderbilt (151.50-135.50).Â
Northern Colorado comes into this weekend's meet with a 3-1 record. The Bears have defeated Colorado School of Mines (166-88), Seattle U (179-65) and New Mexico State (187.50-112.5). Their only loss of the season comes to Wyoming (155-145).Â
