Lauren Giesecke said. "We will be facing a lot of teams that we do not normally face so I am eager to see how our women handle the challenge."
It will be a similar GCU lineup compared to the first tournament as
Deanna Salvatori,
Kylie Fong,
Amy Ruelas,
Carolina Sandstrom and
Leleaga Meredith will represent GCU. Utah Valley will be the only other member of the Western Athletic Conference competing at the Bob Hurley ORU Shootout.
In the 17-team tournament, seven teams are from the state of Texas including UTEP, Sam Houston State, Lamar and Houston Baptist. Also competing in the tournament will be Northern Illinois, Drake and Arkansas State.
