PHOENIX- The Grand Canyon women's soccer team will conclude its three-game road stint Friday, Aug. 26 when it heads to Ogden, Utah to meet Weber State. The Lopes will then return to Phoenix for their home opener and GCU Stadium debut. The Lopes will be hosting UTEP on Sunday, Aug. 28.

- In the opening weekend, the Lopes suffered a pair of losses to Eastern Washington and Idaho.

Scouting Weber State
- The Wildcats dropped their season opener to Utah 4-0 last Friday.
- In 2015, Weber State finished with a 10-9-1 overall record.
- The Wildcats return four starters, including three-time First Team All-Big Sky Conference selection Chamsi Crompton. In 2015, Crompton tallied three goals and 16 offensive points. She is Weber State's career assists leader with 24.
- Weber State also adds 12 freshmen to the lineup and will lean on their upperclassman for leadership and experience.

- The Miners went 1-0-1 in their opening weekend.
- UTEP defeated New Mexico State 5-0 in its season opener and ended its match against Abilene Christian in a scoreless draw.
- The Miners went 5-of-25 in goals and shot attempts and scored 2.50 goals per game. They also had seven corner kicks and a pair of saves.
- UTEP finished 2015 with a 11-7-2 overall record. They return 12 letter winners, including nine starters. They also welcome 13 newcomers to the team.
