PHOENIX – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team is set for its final homestand of the season. The Lopes currently sit in a three-way tie for second place in the WAC with UT Rio Grande Valley (15-12, 7-5) and Utah Valley (14-13, 7-5). GCU looks to move up the standings as it takes on CSU Bakersfield on Thursday before closing out the season against Utah Valley on March 5. GCU has defeated both on the road earlier this season.
Currently in a season-high three-game win streak, the Lopes look for their fourth-straight win against the Roadrunners on Thursday, Feb. 25 at GCU Arena. GCU's three-game win streak ties its previous high set from Dec.14-25 this season. After concluding its road schedule with victories at Missouri-Kansas City and Chicago State, GCU has seven wins away from home, a two-game improvement from last season.
