The Grand Canyon women's basketball team will travel to Riverside, Calif. to meet UC Riverside in a mid-week contest on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. MST.

The Lopes look to continue their winning ways after going undefeated last weekend with wins over Denver and Idaho and being named GCU Thanksgiving Classic Co-Champs.

Last Time OutÂ
In the 64-60 victory of Idaho, the Lopes overcame a slow first quarter and knocked down free throws during the stretch to come away with the victory.
Casey Rarrick led the Lopes with 20 points after hitting six three-pointers during the game. Guard
Aniya Baker also had a huge night for the Lopes as she nearly recorded a triple double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 8 steals. After struggling on offense in the first quarter, the Lopes stepped up in the second quarter. Rarrick caught fire from three-point range and knocked down four threes in the quarter to lead all Lopes in scoring.
August Touchard also provided a huge spark off the bench as she added seven points in 12 minutes of action. A steal by Touchard off the press led to one of Rarrick's threes and extended the Lopes 20-3 quarter run. GCU entered the locker room with a 40-31 half time lead. The Lopes scored 28 points in the quarter.
In the second half, the Vandals came out with fire and intensity as they mounted a 13-0 run to take the lead at 41-40. Rarrick then hit her fifth three of the night to stop Idaho's run. Rarrick hit another three to put GCU back in the lead at 52-51. The Lopes then turned up the intensity on defense led by the gritty play of Baker. Baker hit two jumpers within the final two minutes of the game to put the Lopes up 61-58 with 53 seconds on the clock. Baker then hit the second of two free throws and Touchard added two throws to extend GCU's lead. The Vandals were unable to close the gap against the Lopes and GCU closed the contest out with a 64-60 victory.

- The Lopes had six double digit performances through their three contests last week. Laramie posted double-digit nights at Rice with 15 and against Denver with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Rarrick scored in double figures in back-to-back games producing 11 points against Denver and 20 against Idaho. Zelor Massaquoi achieved consecutive double figure rebound performances after grabbing 11 rebounds against Denver and 10 against Idaho. Aniya Baker also put up double digits in both games this weekend with 11 points against Denver and 15 points with 11 rebounds against Idaho.
- Laramie, Laura Marcos-Canedo,  Rarrick, Massaquoi are the Lopes that sit atop the leader boards on the squad. Laramie leads the team in both points 86 with 17.2 points per game. Marcos-Canedo leads with 24 assists and 4.8 a per game, while Rarrick leads with 15 3-pointers and 3.0 made per game. Massaquoi now leads the team with 37 rebounds with 9.3 rebounds per contest.
- GCU has been productive from beyond-the-arc, with 40 of its 111Â total field goals from long range.
- The Lopes engineered a team-high 28 points in the second quarter during their contest against Idaho. It marked the most points scored in a quarter this season. GCU also shot 71.4 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line.
- GCU will host its final Lopes on the Road event at UC Riverside on Tuesday night.Â
UC Riverside Notables
The Highlanders are currently 1-3 on the year with their lone win against San Diego State ( 72-44) in their season opener. UCR has faced a tough slate of opponents early in the season with losses to USC (67-49) and most recently Cal (71-56) and South Dakota (61-55) two teams that are receiving top 25 votes.

The Highlanders are averaging 58.0 points per contest and 32.2 rebounds per game. In the team's loss to South Dakota, UCR rendered the Coyotes scoreless for 10 minutes, but weren't able to close the gap down the stretch after coming within two late in the game. ReJane Verin led UCR with 23 points against South Dakota.

Verin leads the Highlanders with 15.5 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game. She currently sits in the fourth spot in Big West conference in points.

In the 17th meeting between the two squads GCU trails in the all-time series with a 3-13 mark. Last season, the Lopes had a tough outing against UCR in the 85-67 outcome at GCU Arena. The Highlanders put up 20 plus pints in the first half to jump to a comfortable lead, which they never relinquished. While
Jessica Gajewski produced 23 points and former standout
Courtney Hayes put up 15, the Lopes weren't able to overcome UCR's offensive fire power.

Following Tuesday's contests. GCU will return to Phoenix for a three-game home stand. The Lopes will host No. 15 Washington on Thursday, Dec. 1. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST.Â
