PHOENIX - The Grand Canyon women's basketball team returns to GCU Arena for the first time in Western Athletic Conference play this weekend with a pair of games. Tanesha Daniels setting GCU career highs in points and rebounds, and
Courtney Hayes setting a career-high with 14 assists. The Lopes outscored Utah Valley 24-15 in the fourth quarter to win.

Scouting Chicago StateThe Cougars are struggling through the 2015-16 campaign with only two wins to show (Morehead State, Jackson State). Although CSU enters Thursday's contest looking for its first WAC win, the Cougars have been within 10 points in their previous two games, including a 10-point loss to WAC-leading NM State. Senior F Layne Murphy leads the team in scoring and rebounding (13.9 ppg / 9.6 rpg) and is top two in the WAC in both categories. Chicago State hasn't won more than six games since winning 24 in the 2010-2011 season.
Scouting Missouri-Kansas CityUMKC is the WAC's top rebounding team, out-rebounding opponents by an average margin of 8.5 boards. The Kangaroos limped out to an 0-7 start this season, but have posted a 6-4 record since including a win over Kansas. The Kangaroos' one WAC win was a defeat of CSU Bakersfield, the Roadrunners' only conference loss to date. Aries Washington (11.2 ppg) leads the team in scoring while Kiana Law (7.5 rpg) is the team's top rebounder.
