PHOENIX – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team will look to get back to its winning ways as they conclude its three-game Western Athletic Conference roadtrip to start conference play. The Antelopes will travel to Orem, Utah to face Utah Valley.

The Lopes will look to make it two wins in-a-row after defeating the Wolverines in their last matchup on Feb. 14, 2015. Despite the two losses last weekend to kick off conference play, the Lopes continue to make their presence known on the glass as they rank third in rebounding offense in the WAC (38.8) and second in rebounding defense (37.7). GCU's defense continues to protect the three-point line allowing opponents to shoot 28.1 percent, which is second best in the WAC this season.

Courtney Hayes continues to dominate the WAC in assists holding a firm grip on first place with six assists per game with second place averaging 4.2 assists per contest. Hayes also leads the league in steals, averaging 2.7 steals per game.
Dana Jones has jumped into the top-15 in field goal percentage in the conference, shooting 40 percent from the field, putting her in 13
th place and she joins teammate
Cheyenne Hedrington who sits in 11
th place at 41.5 percent for the game.

Scouting Utah ValleyThe Wolverines have been efficient on offense this season, averaging 67.7 points per game, which is second best in the WAC this season, behind New Mexico State who the Lopes just faced. Utah Valley opened up WAC play last week with two losses to New Mexico State and UT Rio Grande Valley, just like GCU. The Wolverines have three players that average double-figures this season in Rhaiah Spooner-Knight (13.8 ppg), Mariah Seals (12.2 ppg) and Sam Loggins (10 ppg). Rebecca MaWhinney leads UVU in rebounds this season at 5.9 rebounds per game and leading the team in assists this year is Georgia Agnew averaging four assists a game, which is third best in the WAC. Â
