PHOENIX – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team will wrap up its non-conference schedule with two game in three days. The Antelopes will host UC Riverside and in-state opponent Arizona Christian before heading into Western Athletic Conference play.

With the victory over San Diego Christian to close out the 2015 year, the Lopes surpassed last season's win total during non-conference with seven victories. Reigning WAC Player of the Week,
Jessica Gajewski continues her hot streak on offense, scoring 18 points against San Diego Christian. Gajewski has led GCU in scoring four of the last six games averaging 18.8 points per contest during that streak.

Courtney Hayes continues to lead this team at point guard at 5.5 assists per game, leading the WAC by over an assist. Hayes recorded a career-high eight steals against the Hawks while
Zelor Massaquoi tied her career-high in rebounds pulling down 10 boards.

Scouting UC Riverside The Antelopes will face a potent offense as UC Riverside ranks No. 66 in the country in scoring offense, averaging 72.1 points per game. This will be the third highest scoring offense GCU has faced this season behind USC (No. 47) and West Virginia (No. 52). The Highlanders are led by Rejane Verin and Brittany Crain as the two combine for 39.1 points per game. UCR has three players that average double-figures in Verin (17.7 ppg), Crain (17.4 ppg) and Anneslise Ito (12.5 ppg). The Highlanders have been efficient on offense this year shooting 42.9 percent from the field as a team.

Scouting Arizona ChristianThe Firebirds have had an exceptional season thus far, with nine wins and they are led by Courtney Christmas, an Arizona State transfer, averaging 16.6 points per game. Another transfer that has made an impact in her first season at Arizona Christian is Madison Austin, a Northern Arizona transfer, averaging 15.8 points per game and 6.5 rebounds.Â
