Gaud, wrestling at 174 for the first time, defeated Josh Vine 8-3. It was the first of back-to-back GCU wins. At 184,
Austin Trujillo, a redshirt-sophomore from Greeley, returned home to defeat Keith Johnson 7-3. Earlier in the dual,
Chayse Jackson was a 9-3 victor over Tyler Kinn at 157.

"If you consistently go to the legs, you give yourself opportunity to win wrestling matches," said GCU coach Jon Sioredas. "We had a couple guys do just that tonight."
At 285,
Marcus Haughian trailed 4-0 and rallied for a couple takedowns, but an escape and with the riding-time bonus point Northern Colorado's Brian Macchione won the match 6-4. At 141, Freshman
