A lesson I have learned in my collegiate career is that anything is possible no matter where you come from.
Nora Tobin is a great example of that. She has been one of my role models since I started my collegiate volleyball career. Let me give a little background about her. She is currently an entrepreneur, a model, a contributing editor for Shape magazine, a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a GNC Live Well ambassador. Her credentials are impressive but her roots are what drives me the most. She is from the same area I come from, a small city in Nevada called South Lake Tahoe. This fact alone gives me the motivation to be competitive and it heightens the bar even more. It leaves me room to believe that I can achieve just as much in my life if not more. The inspiration I receive from Nora's example motivates me on a daily basis.
It is important to find people that motivate you positively, whether they are close to you or many miles away.
