Stephan Bullard has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference men's track Athlete of the Week for March 24-30, as announced by the conference office.
The Tucson native finished second in the 800-meter run over the weekend at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego, recording a time of 1:50.86. Bullard's time in the event is the fastest in the WAC this season and would place him in the top-10 of the NCAA West Region if the Lopes were eligible.
Bullard is the second straight Antelope athlete to receive the accolade, as sprinter Lance Parker was tagged with the honor a week ago.
The Lopes will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Lubbock, Tex., for the Texas Tech Open. Saturday will be the lone day of competition for Grand Canyon and fans can find a complete recap with results at
