The Grand Canyon University baseball team (9-9, 2-1 WAC) travels down Interstate 10 for a single game at the University of Arizona (11-11, 1-2 Pac-12) tonight with first pitch slated for 6 p.m. The Wildcats won the NCAA College World Series in 2012. This is the first meeting between the two Arizona schools since 2003. The Antelopes are coming off a series victory over WAC preseason favorite Bakersfield last weekend, making their official return to the WAC for the first time since 1998.

VS. ARIZONA
GCU is 21-59 against the Wildcats. Their last meeting came on April 22, 2003 in Phoenix, a 4-0 Arizona victory. This will be their first contest played in Tucson since April 16, 2002. The two teams first played in 1967, splitting the two-game series.
THE LAST SERIES
The 'Lopes took two of three from WAC preseason favorite Bakersfield over the weekend, dropping the opener 4-2 before responding with back-to-back wins. Andrew Naderer and Coley Bruns both picked up victories against the Roadrunners, including a complete-game, 4-hit effort by Bruns in the rubber match. Scott Serigstad earned his second save on Saturday night. Humberto Aranda led the squad offensively, batting .462 (6-for-13) with 2 runs and 2 doubles. David Walker went 5-for-11 (.455) in three starts.
BRUNS GETTING IT DONE
Coley Bruns is 3-0 in three starts this season for the 'Lopes, allowing just seven earned runs in 29.1 innings for a 2.15 ERA. He has struck out a team-best 28 batters. Opponents are hitting .226 against the right-hander, who has issued just 5 walks. Bruns tossed his first complete game of the season on March 16 at Bakersfield, allowing just 4 hits in the 9-2 series clinching win.
ARANDA HAVING HIS WAY
Humberto Aranda is batting .474 (18-for-38) in 11 games for GCU, including nine starts behind the plate and one as the designated hitter. He has 9 runs, a team-best 5 doubles, a triple, home run, and 9 RBI. Aranda boasts a .737 slugging and .512 on-base percentage.
