GAME NOTES
VS. CHICAGO STATE
This marks just the second meeting between GCU and Chicago State, with the Antelopes coming out victorious in their first meeting, 76-75, on Jan. 30 in Chicago.
CONFERENCE TITLE/POSTSEASON HOPES
With three games to go, GCU still has a slim chance to tie for the regular season WAC title, as the 'Lopes currently find themselves in third, 2.5 games out of first behind Utah Valley and 1.5 games out of second behind New Mexico State. The Antelopes would need to win all three of their remaining games, while UVU would need to lose their final two to earn a share of the regular season crown. According to the WAC, there is no tiebreaking procedure for a two-way or three-way tie atop the standings, as both or all three, would be named co-champions in the event a tie takes place. GCU has exceeded all expectations, as they were selected to finish eighth in the WAC preseason coaches' poll and ninth in the media poll. As for playing beyond the regular season, a much talked about topic, GCU is not eligible for the WAC, NCAA or NIT Tournaments. The Antelopes, however, are available for the CBI (16 teams) and CIT Tournaments (32 teams).
LAST TIME OUT
The 'Lopes lost just their third game at GCU Arena this season, 85-80, to Kansas City on Feb. 27. GCU led for most of the game, but a furious rally by the 'Roos in the final minutes proved to be too much to overcome. Jerome Garrison led the way with a career-high 31 points on a career-best seven three-pointers, while Killian Larson had 27 and Sam Daly added 12 points. GCU shot over 50.0 percent (52.1) for the fifth time this season.
