GAME NOTES
VS. IDAHO
This marks just the second time that the Antelopes and Vandals are meeting, with GCU coming out victorious (86-73) in their first-ever matchup on Jan. 23 at GCU Arena.
LAST TIME OUT
The 'Lopes took a one-point lead into the break and eventually won by one, 74-73, at Seattle U on Feb. 20 in a game that saw 15 lead changes and 18 tied scores. GCU shot 54.9 percent (28-for-51) from the field, led by Killian Larson's 20 points. Larson also pulled down 11 rebounds for his 16
th double-double of the year. Jerome Garrison added 18 points for the 'Lopes as they sept their season series versus the Redhawks.
BEATING THE ODDS
The 'Lopes currently find themselves in third in the WAC. With their win over Seattle U coupled with Utah Valley and New Mexico State victories last night, they are just 1.5 games out of first (Utah Valley) and 1.0 game out of second (New Mexico State). Those teams have four and three conference games remaining, respectively, while the 'Lopes have five on their schedule. GCU has undoubtedly exceeded all expectations, as they were selected to finish eighth in the WAC preseason coaches' poll and ninth in the media poll.
