The Grand Canyon University baseball team will play a single game at Fresno State tonight at 7:35 p.m. (Arizona time) before returning to Brazell Stadium for their 2014 home opener on Feb. 21 versus Hofstra. In their opening weekend at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the Antelopes went 1-2, winning the series finale on Sunday to pick up their first win at the Division I level since previously playing in the Western Athletic Conference from 1995-98.

VS. FRESNO STATE
Fresno State leads the all-time series against Grand Canyon, 3-0, with all three of those meetings coming in 1997. The Bulldogs are members of the Mountain West Conference. Fresno State played in the Western Athletic Conference from 1992-2012.
THE LAST SERIES
The 'Lopes went 1-2 in their season opening series at the University of Louisiana at Monroe from Feb. 14-16. GCU dropped the first game, 6-3, despite a strong pitching effort from Jorge Perez, who collected a career-high 10 strikeouts in 7.0 innings. The 'Lopes rallied for three runs in the ninth inning of the second game, but fell one run short in the 5-4 loss. In the series finale, starter Coley Bruns recorded a career-best 10 strikeouts over 8.0 solid innings of work. David Walker led the 'Lopes offense with 5 hits in three games, reaching base in all 4 of his plate appearances on Sunday while also going 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts. Michael Pomeroy and Matt Haggerty both connected for their first homers of the season, while Chad De La Guerra led the team with 3 RBI.
