Grand Canyon (5-7) won for the second straight time and third time in its last four games with a 72-67 victory over Incarnate Word (3-8) at McDermott Center in San Antonio, Tex., Tuesday.
The Antelopes hit a season-best 12-of-25 (.480) three-pointers and connected on 20-of-25 (.800) free throws.
Casey Rarrick had a career-best 15 points to lead GCU. Rarrick was 4-of-8 from long range.
Jessica Gajewski also hit 4-of-8 treys and had 14 points.
Madison Craig scored 13, hitting 2-of-5 from long range and
August Touchard added 10 points, hitting 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
GCU hit 6-of-10 three-pointers in the second half.
"Preparation and competing go a long way," said GCU coach Trent May. "Our players did a great job of staying composed and ready for the next play. Big plays can only happen if you're ready for the next opportunity. The staff, again, did a great job of game-planning and making adjustments.

Tied 61-61, Touchard broke the deadlock with a three-pointer at the 3:31 mark. Rarrick followed to up GCU's lead to 67-61, the Lopes largest lead of the game. The Lopes led the rest of the way. Grand Canyon trailed by as much as seven in the second half.
Grand Canyon led 36-34 at the half. The Lopes hit six three-pointers, three from Rarrick. Craig, who hit two treys, along with Rarrick led GCU with nine points each. Craig also had six first-half rebounds. Gajewski had eight points at the break, including two 3's. Along with hitting 40 percent (6-of-15) from three-point range, GCU was 10-of-11 (90.9 percent) from the free-throw line.

Tori Morris each had a team-best seven rebounds. Hayes had a team-high four assists.
