Former teammates Dan Majerle and Danny Manning square off tonight as Grand Canyon pays a visit to Tulsa for its first-ever meeting with the Golden Hurricane. Manning is 20-23 in his second season at the helm of the Golden Hurricane program. GCU enters the game with a 5-4 record and is coming off a 63-61 loss to Northern Arizona on Saturday. That loss snapped a four-game winning streak. Tulsa enters the game at 3-7 and was beaten 101-91 at Oklahoma on Saturday. Majerle and Manning played together for the Phoenix Suns and also on the 1988 Olympic team. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. (Arizona time).

GAME NOTES
VS. TULSA: This marks the first meeting between GCU and Tulsa.
LAST TIME OUT: The Antelopes dropped a close 63-61 contest at Northern Arizona University on Dec. 17 in Flagstaff in a game that saw 12 lead changes. The Lumberjacks scored the game-winner with 18 seconds on the clock to snap GCU's four-game win streak. Daniel Alexander made his GCU debut and scored a career-best 14 points, including draining four three-pointers. Killian Larson had 16 points and 11 rebounds for his seventh double-double this season.
ALEXANDER'S IMPACT: Daniel Alexander made his GCU debut on Dec. 14 at NAU and scored a career-high 14 points. He drained a team single-game high four three-pointers and was 5-for-10 from the field overall. Alexander was required to sit out for one year following his transfer from Texas A&M, where he saw action in 29 games in two seasons. He was the No. 89-ranked prospect in the country by Rivals.com out of Dripping Springs High School in Texas.
FROM THE FIELD: After shooting a combined 52.0 percent in their previous two games, the 'Lopes were held to 38.0 percent (19-for-50) in their loss at NAU on Dec. 14. GCU shot a season-best 57.7 percent from the field (30-for-52) on Nov. 29 against SDC. That was their best shooting percentage since going 26-for-45 (.578) on Nov. 28, 2012 vs. Vanguard.
