The Grand Canyon University women’s basketball team moved up one spot to 18
th in the latest USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, as released by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association today.
The Antelopes are coming off of a 2-0 week in which they defeated both Dixie State and Fresno Pacific on the road. GCU owns a 14-4 overall record and 6-1 mark in Pacific West Conference play.
The ‘Lopes are ranked among the top teams in the nation in both rebounding margin (11.7 – fifth) and scoring margin (14.7 – 22
nd). Individually,
Judy Jones is tied for second in the country with 11 double-doubles and 18
th with a 54.9 field goal percentage.
GCU will next be in action when they host Point Loma Nazarene on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. in GCU Arena. That game marks the first of four straight at home for the ‘Lopes. Fans can follow the action live by visiting
