Holiday Inn GCU Invitational Starts Tonight

Tonight’s GCU-Montana State Billings contest marks the beginning of the 12-match 2011 Holiday Inn Grand Canyon University Invitational at Antelope Gymnasium.

Along with the ’Lopes and Yellowjackets, Colorado Christian, Hawai’i Pacific, Notre Dame de Namur and Western New Mexico will participate in the event. Six matches -- beginning at 9 a.m. -- will be played Friday. Five contests, also starting at 9 a.m., will take place Saturday.

GCU (1-2) will play four times. Along with tonight’s contest against MSU Billings, Grand Canyon takes on Colorado Christian at 1 p.m. Friday and Western New Mexico at 7 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, the Antelopes play their first Pacific West Conference match of the season against Hawai’i Pacific. First serve is scheduled to fly at 4:30 p.m.
