The Grand Canyon University women’s tennis team was defeated, 5-0, to Hawai’i Pacific in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at Central Oahu Regional Park in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
The women close out the season with a 16-5 overall record, with three of those losses coming from the Sea Warriors.
HPU’s 34th-ranked Celina Goetti earned the fourth point for the Sea Warriors, as she downed Haldeman, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Mittag would later fall, 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles match, to close out the dual.
