Ranked No. 12 in the nation and No. 6 in the initial West Region poll released Wednesday, Grand Canyon University's women's basketball team plays host to Chaminade in a Pacific West Conference contest at Antelope Gymnasium tonight.
Grand Canyon (15-2, 3-1) is 10-0 all-time against Chaminade (1-10, 1-3). The game is the first of eight straight league games at home.
"We have eight opportunities for fans to see us play and we're excited about it," said GCU coach Trent May.
Grand Canyon plays host to BYU-Hawai'i Saturday at 2:25 p.m. On Feb. 5, it has a chance to avenge its lone conference loss when it welcomes No. 11 Dixie State, ranked No. 2 in the West Region.
