COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Grand Canyon (2-6) dropped a 3-0 decision to Winona State in the Marriott Mountain Lion Invitational at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs' Gallogly Center Saturday.
GCU lost by set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-19.
Junior libero Laurann Durbin (Phoenix, AZ, Sunnyslope) had 21 digs. Freshman outside hitter Kaitlynn Ausmus (Glendale, AZ, Deer Valley) had eight kills, a .261 hitting percentage and nine digs. Sophomore outside hitter Sara Bowden (Tempe, AZ, Corona del Sol) added eight kills. Sophomore middle hitter Shelby Taylor (Phoenix, AZ, Christian) had one solo block and two block assists.
