Julio Zuniga

Grand Canyon University's Julio Zuniga (Mexico City, Mexico, Trevor Browne) was named the 2009-10 Pacific West Conference Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Year.
The PacWest men's cross country awards were announced Sunday by the conference media office.
After running most of the season as the team's No. 2 runner, Zuniga was GCU's top finisher in the PacWest Championships, placing 14th and earning second team all-conference honors.
He was the only GCU runner to make all-conference and only freshman to earn all-league recognition.
Academy of Art's Amos Maru earned both runner of the year and newcomer of the year.
