Grand Canyon University's women's basketball team will participate in the 2010 Disney's Division II Tip-Off West Coast Classic Nov. 12-14 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The eight-team field includes four women's and four men's teams. GCU's men's basketball team competed in the event in 2009.
The women's field includes Alaska-Anchorage, UC San Diego and Texas Woman's University. The men's field is comprised of Alaska-Anchorage, Dixie State, Lewis and UC San Diego.
GCU has seven key returnees back from a squad that finished 19-8. Among that group include the program's all-time leading scorer,
Samantha Murphy (Phoenix, AZ, Xavier Prep HS) and the school's all-time leader in assists and steals,
Rosalyn Nelson (Phoenix, AZ, Deer Valley HS). The team is headed by the school's all-time winningest coach, Trent May.
GCU has won three of the last four Pacific West Conference championships.

A tournament pass for all 12 games can be purchased for $30. Single-session tickets (two games) are $8 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Two-session tickets (four games) are $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors.
On Friday Nov. 12, GCU takes on Texas Woman's University at 5 p.m. Its Nov. 13 contest is at noon against Alaska-Anchorage. On the 14th, GCU plays UC San Diego at 6:30 p.m.
