Guadian named preseason All-PacWest

Junior Arlin Guadian (Phoenix/North HS) was selected to the seven-member All-PacWest Conference preseason team, released by the league office Saturday.
Guadian (pictured) ran GCU's best 6K time (22:46) at last year's PacWest Championships.
Teamwise, Coach Kim Sims' team was picked seventh. Hawaii-Hilo, with five first-place votes, was selected as the preseason favorite. BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific each received one first place vote and were chosen second and third, respectively.
Notre Dame de Namur was picked fourth followed by Chaminade, Dixie State and the 'Lopes.
Joining Guadian on the preseason team are, Amanda Whitford (BYU-Hawaii), Ashley Hughey (Notre Dame de Namur), Julie Ryan (Dixie State), Kelly Roders (Hawaii-Hilo), Rachel Martin (Chaminade), and Emma Palmer (Hawaii Pacific).
The Antelopes open the season Sept. 6 at the George Kyte Classic at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Ariz.
