GCU freshman Renee Peck (pictured, Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) was named the Pacific West Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

It is the first time a Grand Canyon runner has won the award.

Peck finished first among Antelope Athletes and fourth among Division II runners at the 2009 Grand Canyon University Invitational. She covered the 6K course in a time of 24:38.6 and would up taking seventh overall.

Emily Cruz (Surprise, Ariz./Dysart), Arlin Guadian (Phoenix, Ariz./North), Joy Hulsey (Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain), Evelia Stacey (Safford, Ariz./Safford) and Shannon Walsh (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) were all named to the PWC Top 10 Honor Roll.
