Hardin, Murphy make PacWest Honor Roll

Grand Canyon senior forward Ashley Hardin (Chandler, Ariz./Marcos de Niza/N. Arizona) and junior guard Samantha Murphy (pictured, Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) were selected to the Pacific West Conference Women's Basketball Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for games played Dec. 28-Jan. 3.
Hardin, who was named to the Trip Sports Surf City Classic All-Tournament team, averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 rebounds, ranking 11th and 10th, respectively, in the conference for the week.
She was 10th in field goal percentage (44.4) and ninth in free throw percentage (76.9).
Murphy averaged 13.3 points and four rebounds, ranking eighth in scoring. She also added two assists and two steals per game. She was outstanding from the free-throw line, making 19 of 20 attempts (95 percent), and had five 3-point field goals.
The three-time defending Pacific West Conference champions begin defense Thursday at 5 p.m. against Chaminade. BYU-Hawaii is in town Saturday for a 5 p.m. contest. Fans unable to attend Antelope Gym can watch and listen to all the action on the B2 Network.
