Grand Canyon won the first set, but lost the next three to unbeaten No. 19 Hawai'i Hilo in a 3-1 Pacific West Conference loss at Antelope Gym Tuesday.

The teams meet again 7 p.m. Wednesday at Antelope Gym. Fans unable to attend can watch the match on the B2 Network by clicking on the network's link on the upper right of the web page.

The Lopes won an exciting first set 29-27, before falling 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.

Junior Megan Toth (Phoenix, Ariz./Arcadia) had 12 kills and senior Whitney Estes (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas) added 10.

GCU senior Jenna Skadeland (Williston, N.D./Williston HS/Williston CC) had seven block assists and one solo. Freshman Erica Ehlo (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) had four block assists and six kills. Freshman Katie Peterson (Glendale, Ariz./Mountain Ridge) had four block assists and one solo.

Freshman setter Kristen Preach (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) had 34 assists, four kills and three block assists.
