GCU (9-4) won by set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-11.
"I thought we came out strong all three games," said GCU head coach Kris Naber. "I thought we did a good job of playing consistently and controlling the match."
Freshman Erica Ehlo (Spokane, Wash./Lewis and Clark) led GCU with nine kills and had a .300 attack percentage. Freshman Shelby Taylor (pictured, Phoenix, Ariz./Christian) had seven kills, a .308 attack percentage and four block assists.
Junior Megan Toth (Phoenix, Ariz./Arcadia) had seven kills and a .333 average to go with nine digs and two block assists. Freshman setter Kristen Preach (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier Prep) had 25 assists, eight digs, five killsand three total blocks.
Sophomore Laurann Durbin (Phoenix, Ariz./Sunnyslope) had a team-high 11 digs. Senior Whitney Estes (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas) had four kills, three service aces and three block assists.
The Lopes continue a five-match homestand with four Pacific West Conference contests next week. GCU welcomes Hawai'i Hilo Sept. 29-30 and BYU-Hawaii Oct. 2-3 before an Oct. 9 rematch at Embry-Riddle.
The Eagles (1-8) were led by Cassie Lacey with seven kills, Liesl Hall had 22 assists and Gina Conley had seven digs. Ashley Shaw had three total blocks.
