SAN DIEGO -- Freshman Renee Peck (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) was GCU's top finisher in the AZTEC Invitational hosted by San Diego State University Saturday.
Peck, pictured, finished 65th with a time of 21:59 in the 5K race. The Lopes placed 11th. Northern Arizona won the event, led by first-place finisher Veronica Pohl (18:11).
Freshman Joy Hulsey (Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain) was 76th (23:07).
Frosh Shannon Walsh (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) placed 81st (23:40). She was closely followed by sophomore Evelia Stacey (Safford, Ariz./Safford) in 83rd (23:54) and junior Arlin Guadian (Phoenix, Ariz./North) in 84th (23:57).
Freshman Emily Cruz (Surprise, Ariz./Dysart) was 91st (25:49).
