Antelopes post better marks in Music City Classic
SMYRNA, Tenn. -- Grand Canyon women's bowling coach Ron Reddic told his team earlier this week his expectations will rise next year.
Grand Canyon rolled to a higher level Friday at the first day of the Music City Classic. GCU beat No. 19 St. Francis, 630-582, and No. 10 Alabama A&M, 680-679. And while those were the two wins Grand Canyon recorded in the six the Antelopes bowled, it was enough to convince Reddic that his team wanted to finish strong.
"We closed more frames this morning than we did in a while," Reddic said. "Sparing makes a big difference in this sport. I feel that if we continue to bowl tomorrow night as we did today, we should be able to match up well against our next opponents."
