Travel-weary Lopes seek spares, consistency after Florida A&M's NCAA Releaser's Invitational
Grand Canyon coach Ron Reddic returned home to a cough. It's all that travelling he and his bowlers have been Talitha Schottdoing. For four straight weeks, these women bowlers have been all over the map.
Now there's a tickle in the coach's throat, and finally a break in sight.
Grand Canyon went 4-2 on the final day of the Florida A&M NCAA Releaser's Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla., on Sunday to place sixth. They will punt on competing in next weekend's Morgan State Invitational in Baltimore. That's probably a good thing for a team that has jetted back and forth to Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Florida and Missouri in the past month.
"I think it's taking it's toll," Reddic said.
