GCU women garner 5th spot at PWC

SAN FRANCISCO -- Freshman Renee Peck (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) led Grand Canyon with a 16th place finish and the Antelopes finished fifth at the Pacific West Conference Championships at Golden Gate Park Saturday.
Peck finished the 5K course in 21:06.9. Freshman Joy Hulsey (pictured, Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain) finished 21st (21:42.4).
BYU-Hawaii took top honors and Hawai'i Pacific senior Quinn Horochuk (18:53.8) earned top individual honors.
For GCU, freshman Shannon Walsh (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) finished 28th (23:13.4). Close behind was junior Arlin Guadian (Phoenix, Ariz./North) in 30th (23:36.1), freshman Emily Cruz (Surprise, Ariz./Dysart) in 31st (23:56.7) and sophomore Evelia Stacey (Safford, Ariz./Safford) in 32nd (23:58.9).
