LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Grand Canyon University women's bowling team went 3-2 on the first day of the Arkansas State Mid-Winter Invitational.
GCU rests in 13th place, entering Saturday's team match play competition.
The Antelopes beat Jackson State University, 839-776 in Baker team match play. Grand Canyon defeated University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 804-674. The Lopes also beat Alabama State, 776-691.
GCU lost to Delaware State, 907-795, and Southern University, 777-755.
