Grand Canyon begins bowling for high marks

Grand Canyon University will compete in its first women's bowling event in school history when the Antelopes Tera Boltonbrandish their balls and roll to re-set at the Arkansas State University Mid-Winter Classic in Little Rock, Ark.
The tournament begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
Forget bowling for dollars. These girls are bowling for high marks. After all, they are student-athletes, and achieving high marks for a collegiate bowler takes on double meaning.
Whether the Lopes get that double, knock 'em all down or even notch a turkey remains to be seen. But with a coach who has a bowling background on the collegiate and adult open level himself, GCU is in good hands.
