What They're Saying
"I don't know that there's a better softball game-watching experience on the West Coast, in terms of how many seats are in there and also how small and intimate it is."
Tim Baron, GCU Associate AD

The 1,200-seat GCU Softball Stadium opened Feb. 8, 2018, to surround a new playing field that was installed in 2017.
In the second phase of the facility's construction, the temporary bleachers were removed and ground was broken for permanent chairback seating and bleacher seating, an indoor press box capable of handling television and radio broadcasts, a concession stand and full-amenity bathrooms.
The first phase of the project consisted of a new FieldTurf playing surface, relocating the field from Stapleton-Pierson Stadium to make room for a larger stadium north of the Lopes Performance Center. The first phase also included construction of spacious dugouts, batting cages and bullpens on the home and visitor sides.
The new stadium features a middle section of individual chairback seats and sections to each side with bench seating that has back supports. The northeast-facing stadium also is protected by fabric shading.
