Joe Reynolds joined GCU Athletics in March 2026 as an athletics broadcast engineer, overseeing the technical operations of GCU Athletics live streams and TV broadcasts as well as the arena broadcast control room.
Reynolds brings more than 30 years of experience in video and audio production, with a background spanning live broadcasts, technical direction, engineering, production management and client relations. His career has included extensive work in live event environments, managing crews, coordinating multiple camera and audio feeds, interfacing with master control, troubleshooting technical issues in real time and supporting high-level broadcast productions.
Before joining Grand Canyon, Reynolds worked with Skyline Productions beginning in 1991, producing video series, documentaries and live broadcasts. His client work included a long-running role with the Diocese of Phoenix, where he handled all aspects of a weekly live broadcast of the Catholic Mass, including directing and producing, streaming services, crew scheduling, budget planning, master control coordination and technical support.
Reynolds also has worked in professional and collegiate sports production settings, including roles with Mullet Arena, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Coyotes and Arizona Cardinals. His responsibilities included engineering support, camera team management, equipment installation and upgrades, in-house video shading, control room support and event troubleshooting.
In addition to live sports and event production, Reynolds has worked on documentary projects that required international travel, crew coordination, equipment management, budgeting, post-production and editing.
