Larry Wilbanks is in his fifth year working with the GCU wrestling team and works primarily with the upper weights.Â
His tutoring was influential in the development of 2012 national champion Victor Carazo (174) and NCAA All-Americans Ryan Becerra (184) and Eli Arizmendez (197).
Wilbanks graduated from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., where he was a three-time NCAA All-American and a two-time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champion. He grew up in Payson, Ariz., where he was a two-time high school state champion and a high school All-American.
