Rachael Bode joined the Grand Canyon University sports medicine staff in July 2017. In the summer of 2022, she was promoted to the interim director of sports medicine at GCU. She provides athletic training support for the women's volleyball program.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Bode began her education in the undergraduate athletic training program at Florida Southern College, graduating in May 2015. She then received her master’s degree from The University of Oklahoma in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration in May 2017. During her time there she served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the men’s tennis and women’s volleyball programs.
Bode holds certifications in Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR) through Owens Recovery Science and FMT Blades Advanced IASTM certified through Rocktape. She is also certified in dry needling.
Prior to moving to Norman, she completed an internship at the University of Maryland. During her time there she assisted with the football and women’s gymnastics teams.
