He recently was head coach of Central Arizona's women's basketball program in 2023-24. Prior to that, he spent six seasons on the sidelines at Long Beach State as an assistant, beginning in 2017-18. At Long Beach State, he coached several All-Big West honorees, including Big West Player of the Year Tori Harris, All-Big West Defensive Player of the Year Maddi Utti and two-time Big West All-Defensive Team player Justina King. GCU forward Kristyna Jeskeova earned Defensive POTY honors in 2022-23 under Camacho and returns to the Lopes this year after redshirting last season.
Before his stint at Long Beach State, Camacho spent six seasons as the girls basketball head coach at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California, where he compiled a 165-44 record that included six consecutive California Intersholastic Federation Tournament appearances and five Mission League titles. He reached the 2013 CIF Division III championship and reached the Southern Region championship game in CIF DI the following season.
His success in the CIF is noted among the state, as he is one of few coaches to lead two separate California High School girls basketball teams to state championship titles, doing so at Bellarmine-Jefferson High School and Bishop Alemany. He served as head coach of Bellarmine-Jefferson High School from 2008-10, compiling a 185-51 record and winning the Santa Cruz League title in three-peat fashion.
