At Grand Canyon During the 2015 season, Breland started 22 games and played in a total of 36 while posting a .333 batting average. She scored 21 runs and had 14 RBI while adding five extra-base hits (three doubles and two home runs).
After recording two hits in three of the first four games of the season, Breland had only one more multi-hit game on the season. While not known for power, Breland was known to get on base, as she had a .506 OBP with nine walks (against just nine strikeouts) and adding 11 trips to first base after being hit by a pitch. Â Â
Breland also helped the squad with her speed. On the basepaths, she stole five bases on six attempts, the second-highest total of steals on the squad.Â
At Basha High School
Breland was a 2014 second-team all-section selection and earned her school's Golden Scholar and Academic Athlete awards. At the plate, she hit .421 with five home runs and four doubles while amassing 40 hits and 35 runs. She tallied 21 RBI.
As a junior, she was selected first-team NFCA All-West Region and was named honorable mention all-state and AIA365 Coaches All-Division second-team pick.
