Bryan Dell’Amico joined the Grand Canyon men’s volleyball staff in 2022 and coached in his fourth season as a GCU coach in 2024-25.
During the 2025 season Dell’Amico helped the Lopes succeed at a high level. After the departure of coach Matt Werle, coach Bryan Dell'Amico and Jon Girten split roles to lead the program the rest of the season. Responsibility included offensive coordinator, game day management and in-game decisions. Bryan earned the 2025 AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year award. Dell’Amico lead the GCU team to a .308 team hitting percentage ranking 13th in the country and 3rd in program history. Dell'Amico helped coach the Lopes to the program's first sweep over UCLA as well as the first time GCU has won back-to-back matches at Stanford in program history. The Lopes also had an AVCA All-American (Trent Moser) along with five individual MPSF honors.
In 2024, the Lopes made historic strides, landing their first ever AVCA 1st team All-American (3), the program’s first time ranked No. 1. He helped the Lopes to their first MPSF Championship victory and the first program win in the NCAA tournament.
Dell’Amico helped the Lopes record the program’s winningest seasons in 2024 (26 wins) and 2023 (22 wins) and assisted in the Lopes first NCAA tournament appearance. GCU had five players receive All-America honors (one second team and four honorable mentions) from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Dell’Amico brings 16 seasons of Arizona club and high school volleyball coaching experience to the GCU staff. Dell’Amico coached six seasons with Arizona Storm Elite. Four of Dell’Amico’s club players went on to be NCAA All-Americans.
In his last season in 2023, his 16 Thunder team won the national championship in 16 Open. In the 2021-22 season, Dell’Amico led the 16 Thunder to qualifying for the Open Division at nationals and finished in the gold-medal bracket of every qualifier (Triple Crown NIT Elite Division, Salt Lake Showdown Open Division, Red Rock National Qualifier Open Division and The MLK Fiesta Classic). They also won the gold medal in the Arizona national qualifier as well as the gold medal In the Arizona region championship.
Dell’Amico also coached at the high school levels at Desert Vista and Campo Verde. As an assistant coach for six seasons at Desert Vista, the program qualified for the state playoffs every season and won back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015. The Thunder also was ranked No. 1 in the country in 2014 by Max Preps and ranked No. 2 in the country in 2015 by Max Preps.
In his five seasons assisting Campo Verde, the program finished as the 2013 state runner-up and was ranked No. 1 in the state on two occasions. Campo Verde also won two section championships and made three trips to the state tournament during his tenure there.
A native of southern California,
Bryan is a graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he played basketball on scholarship. He earned his degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training and a minor in Biology.
