Andrew McCall completed his first season as the GCU men's volleyball graduate assistant in 2020.
He helped lead the Lopes to a 14-7 record in a season cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the Lopes took home three top-10 wins against No. 9 Stanford, No. 8 UCLA and No. 6 Pepperdine, the first wins in program history against Stanford and UCLA. The Lopes also earned their highest ranking in program history at No. 8 on Feb. 24, 2020.
McCall served as a volunteer assistant for the Lopes through the 2018-19 season. He played as a student-athlete at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif., from 2014-2015 before transferring to Arizona State to complete his education, earning his bachelor's in exercise science in 2018. McCall has coached club volleyball for the past five years in Tempe, Ariz., for the Aspire club volleyball team. He also played for Chandler High School, making the All-State team all four years of competition. McCall is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis in sports management at GCU.
