Jesse Mueller enters his 11th season as an assistant coach with the GCU men's golf program in 2025-26, and 12th year with the program overall, while serving his full-time role as the GCU Golf Course general manager.Â
Mueller has a wealth of golf experience, having collected 30+ professional victories and qualified for the PGA Championship and U.S. Open in 2022, as well as the PGA Championship in 2024. Mueller also finished 51st at the 2012 U.S. Open and has made the field for other PGA events, including the Phoenix Open four times (2018, 2021, 2024, 2025) and the Shriner's Children's Open in Las Vegas twice (2017 and 2021).Â
During his time on the professional circuit, Mueller was the Hawaii State Open champion, Hawaii Pearl Open champion, Golden State Tour winner, EGolf Tour winner and National Pro Golf Tour winner. He was also a Web.com member in 2007 and 2009.
Mueller was the AGA Player of the Year in 2001 and was the Arizona Amateur champion that same year. Mueller was a U.S. Amateur contestant in 2002 and Arizona Amateur Stroke Play champion in 2003.
Mueller competed at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona, guiding the team to three state championships. Additionally, he was named Junior Golf Association of Arizona Player of the Year in 1999 and participated in the U.S. Junior Amateur tournament in three separate years.
Mueller earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing from ASU in 2005 and is a Class A PGA Member.
