Daven Vo begins his first season at Grand Canyon. He is in charge of player development, recruiting and game preparation. Vo comes to GCU after serving as the assistant at South Mountain Community College during the 2007-08 season. There he was instrumental in the development of two All-Americans and a 25-8 record that led to a consolation championship at the national tournament. Prior to SMCC, Vo served as a graduate assistant during the 2006-07 season at the University of Oklahoma. He studied under the tutelage of Jeff Capel and assisted in player development. An Oklahoma City native, Vo played at St. Gregory’s University. Daven earned academic and all-conference honors his senior year in the highly competitive Sooner Athletic Conference. He prepped at Westmoore High School where he was a decorated basketball and tennis player. The son of The and Houng Vo, he is the youngest of five.
