- Has three brothers who all played college basketball, who he cites as the biggest personal influence on his sport:
- Oldest brother, Aaron, played at Clarion (Pa.) from 2012 to 2015 and accumulated over 400 points.
- Older brother, Cam, played at Pittsburgh (2014-17) and North Carolina (2017-19). He was the 11th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft by Minnesota before immediately being traded to Phoenix. He reached the 2021 NBA Finals with the Suns before being traded to Brooklyn in 2023 and Denver in 2025.
- Older brother, Puff, played at North Carolina (2020-23) before transferring to Penn State (2023-25).
- Family relocated from Moon Township, Pennsylvania, to Phoenix when Cam spent his first 3 1/2 NBA seasons with the Suns.
- When brother, Puff, considered GCU when he was in the transfer portal in 2023, Braylon became increasingly attached to the idea of being a Lope and ascended his game to become part of the program. "GCU was the place I always wanted to go."
- Switched from being a right-handed shooter his entire boyhood to shooting with his natural strong hand, the left, in 2022. "I wanted to shoot like my brother Cam when I was younger, so I was shooting with my wrong hand my whole life. My right-handed shot never felt natural. My left-hand shot feels natural."
- Off the court, enjoys tennis, pickleball and video games.
- Chose GCU because: "great team and coaching staff and the fan base and culture is crazy."
- If he wasn't playing basketball, it'd be football.
- Favorite pro sports teams are: New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Pirates and Oklahoma City Thunder.
