Brittany Garcia joined the Grand Canyon sports medicine staff in July 2020 and is in her first year serving as an assistant athletic trainer. She oversees the medical coverage for cheerleading, mascots and dance.
Prior to arriving at GCU, Garcia served as a fellow athletic trainer at the University of California, Berkeley for primary sport coverage of men's and women's cross country and track & field. Before fulfilling her fellowship, Garcia received her Master of Science degree in May 2019 from Kansas State University where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the women's tennis and cheerleading/mascot teams. Upon earning her credentials as a certified athletic trainer (ATC), the St. Louis, Missouri, native received her Bachelor of Health Science degree in Athletic Training in May 2017 from the University of Missouri while serving a variety of assigned sports teams.
She is also certified in Myofascial Decompression (MFD) Level 1 and as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
