Future Career Goals: I have a passion for youth. One day I would like to start a youth ministry, travel around the US and one day go to Europe.
Cheerleading Experience: This is my third year cheering at Grand Canyon University and my second year as captain. I cheered all four years in high school at Yuma High and was the captain my senior year.
High School Activities and Awards: In high school I was involved with cheerleading, softball, and track. I also was a member of National Honor Society and a student leader at my church.
College Activities and Awards: Of course cheerleading. This year I am also a Head Life Leader. I lead a weekly Bible study for the girls on my floor. Last year I was the Women’s Ministry Coordinator.
Why did you choose to attend Grand Canyon University? God was the biggest reason why I choose to come to GCU. Things started falling into place and I knew this is where God wanted me.
What do you like most about being a GCU Cheerleader? I just love my team. We all love each other and care about each other so much.
What is your most memorable moment being a GCU Cheerleader? There are so many moments it’s hard to pick just one. One of them would have to be when I awkwardly yelled YEAH after a performance when it was dead silence. I had to break the ice!
What are your hobbies and interest? Well the most important thing to know about me is that I am a Christian and I live to serve the Lord who created me. I would not be anywhere without him, so I want to give that back to him.
What is your favorite food? Mexican food. I also have a weakness for chips. I can’t resist them!
Provide a final statement: Being a part of the GCU cheer team has been one of the most influential and growing experiences of my life and my coaches definitely played a big part of that. These are going to be years I never forget. These years have defiantly shaped me for my life in the real world and I am excited for this next year and what is in store!
